FORGIVE FOUR HUNDRED AND NINETY TIMES.

Text: Matthew 6:12-15
“20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
21 ¶ Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times?

One of the pre-requisites for deliverance is forgiveness. This is often neglected. No wonder, people go for deliverance prayers with hatred and malice n their hearts and yet shouting, “Holy Ghost Fire!” The issue of unforgiveness is something that had bothered Peter quite a lot prompting him to ask the required number of times that a person could be offended before he can decide to lay it to heart. Jesus answered and said,” seventy times seven”.

Seventy times seven is equal to four hundred and ninety times. Is it possible for a single person to offend another for four hundred and ninety times? The answer is NO. Impliedly, no amount of offence must generate unforgiveness. I do not know who has offended you so many times and for that reason you have not forgiven him, but yet you are seeking for deliverance. If needed you ant deliverance, you must heed to Jesus’ instruction and forgive.

Sing praise/worship with one or two warfare songs. Pray and thank God and then ask for forgiveness of sins and take the following prayer points.

Prayer points:
1. Any spirit of the ancestors working in my life, catch fire, in Jesus name.
2. You spirit of unbelief causing me hardness of heart, receive rebuke, in Jesus name.
3. Any spirit of unforgiveness working in my life; be terminated, in Jesus name.
4. I forgive all those that offended me, in Jesus name.
5. Holy Ghost, sanctify my heart and make it pure, in Jesus name.
6. Father, give me a broken spirit and a contrite heart, in Jesus name.
