IT IS FIGHT TO FINISH
Text: Exodus 3:14, 1 Samuel 7:1-14, Exodus 6:2-3
Memorise: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. "(Ephesians 6:12)
The fight to retain the blessings of God in your life is not a child's play. The devil is poised to frustrate you out of these blessings so that you can become discouraged and then back off. Our memory verse notes, "For we wrestle," which means, it is not a friendly affair at all. 'Wrestling' against dark powers, involves whole lot of hostilities. Nevertheless, obtaining victory over them is necessary if we must fulfill if we must have access to God's showers of blessings for our lives this month and even beyond.
Wrestling with spirits without physical bodies requires that we confront them bearing spiritual weapons. Nevertheless, God has given us a weapon of warfare which is not physical or carnal in nature. That weapon consists of the whole armour of God including righteousness through salvation, faith, evangelism, prayer and the rest. Therefore, you must take up these weapons of warfare to be able to withstand the fiery darts of the wicked one. You must pray earnestly and fervently against them because if you fail to dislodge them, then, it becomes extremely difficult, if not impossible to enter into God's blessings. So, you can see why it is fight to finish.
Are you the type of believer that manifests lukewarmness and apathy when it comes to prayer? There is more that meets the ordinary eyes when it comes to the battle for your soul and survival. So, it is not something that should be treated with levity. Wake up from your slumber today and begin to pray because it is fight to finish. If you win you enjoy, but if you fail, you pay the price, which can be colossal.
