KILL THAT PRIDE,BEFORE IT KILLS YOU.

Prov16:18"Pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall"

In our present world, many find it difficult to humble themselves, especially among ministers of the gospel, they allow the devil to sow the seed of pride into their heart, and when such seed germinate it end result is destruction.

Anyone who wishes to walk with God must be humble, reason been that our God does not want anyone to believe he or she is sufficient of himself/herself or can do all things without Him, according to the book of 2Cor3:5 it says "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves:but our sufficiency is of God"

Examples abound in the Bible days many whom pride killed/destroyed so easily, before we look at few of them, Let me prove the pride acronyms

P-person, 

R-running, 

I-Into, 

D-destruction, 

E-Easily

Arch Angel Lucifer was a perfect example, according to the book of Isaiah14:12-16,if you read that scripture you will understand that lucifer was a great angel in Heaven, he shocked kingdoms, he made the earth tremble, let me classify lucifer as a preacher, he must have done great miracles in his church that made people tremble after seeing his miracles, but do you know what destroyed him so easily? It was pride! He exalted himself as God, he used the " I projection, five times "I will do this and I will do that" without knowing that the Most High God was watching, that is the problem of so many preachers, when God used them to cast out one week demon or heal the sick, pride will set in, they will begin to say "I HAVE ARRIVE" "I can now do miracles, nobody can control me anymore" they forgot that, God is watching and miracle is not the basis of making heaven, pride will definitely kill such preachers, especially preachers under a humble general overseer.

why will a pastor be preaching and he will mention "I do this and I do that 100 times but mention Jesus only once or twice?" Is that not pride? Such pastors do not last in the hands of God.

Another perfect example is king Asa according to the book of 2Chron16:1-14,God used Asa mightily because he relied on Him, when he became proud of himself, God have to send His prophet to warn him, Asa never heed to God's warning, he was afflicted yet he never seek the face of God because of his pride, there after he died in his foolishness.

Brethren, A proud person can not withstand persecution, a proud person can not please God, a proud person find it difficult to say "I AM SORRY" and a proud person can not persevere and endure in time of trial and temptations.

Every believer that want to be used of God now and in future he or she must be humble to the call, the Bible says in Jams4:6"But he give more grace wherefore he smith God resisteth the proud but giveth grace unto the humble" If you are humble, you will receive the grace from God to live a holy and sanctified Christian life. 

Are you a pound person? What the Lord demands from you is to seek Him with all humility of heart ,pray to Him, to kill the pride in you and make you humble.
