LOVE NOT THE WORLD

Text: 1 John 2:15-17 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. [17] And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." Memory verse Romans 12:2

Wordliness is gradually creeping into the church and most people do not realizeit. In some churches , they can dance and entertain for three hours but only use five minutes to pray. Even in some churches most women dress like prostitutes, while their men dress like cow-boys.

Pastor preaching what the people want to hear not what God says He should preach. The church has become a place of musical jamboree without mentioning any iota of sin and all its consequences. People go to church everyday but no sign of transformation in their spiritual life. Some want to eat in God’s table and also partake in the camp of the devil. Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters"... You cannot serve God and devil at the same time. Joshua told the children of Israel... choose you this day whom ye will serve... (Joshua 24:15) I pose the same question to you, Choose you this day whom you will serve, if you want to serve God, Serve Him in righteousness because He is righteous.

Today’s text says. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. If you want to serve God , serve Him in seriousness . You canot serve Him haphazardly and hope to make heaven . some of you are chosen in lagos but outside lagos where nobody knows you, you become something else. To extend that some of you some of you go into fornication , adultery and other vices, whi is deceiving who? Remember it is appointed unto man once to die and after  the judgment, be careful many have gone.

PRAYER POINTS:
*Pray earnestly and ask God to destroy the love of the world in you.
*Pray  that whatever may, you will serve God till the end.
