BE CAREFUL FOR YOUR ETERNAL LIFE

Luke 12:2-5
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. [3] Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. [4] And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. [5] But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

As the hours and days count and pass by, everyone of us is drawing closer and closer to the day of accountability and to eternal life. Every word we speak as well as their accompanying action count to what determines where one spend one's eternal life, it is on this background that we expected to be focused on our race to eternal life and be careful and mindful of everything we do on this planet.

The Bible made us to understand that there is nothing done in the secret that will not be exposed on the last day, the day of accountability. It is on what you do in the open especially when you are in the church that forms the basis for the judgement on the last day rather all action and inaction both in the open and in the closet. It is possible to commit fornication or adultery and still preach against it in the open. It is also possible to stay in your bedroom and drink one or two bottles of alcoholic drink without anybody knowing it. One may keep malice and still attend vigils and services because men may not know but God knows and all will be made open on the last day. We should be careful and fear God who has power to cast one into hell fire. It is the enemy that leads us Into sin hence we should not give him chance at all.

Deuteronomy 25:19
Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

God identified the amalekites as the enemies of the Israelites hence He asked them to crush the amalekites. Do not give the enemy any chance in your life. The trumpet may soon sound.

PRAYER POINT
Pray that God will help you not to fall to the deceit of the devil to commit sin.
Pray for the power to always resist the devil.
