TEXT: JOHN 1:12; 15:16, ISAIAH 61:1, LUKE 10:9

Every youth prayer warrior and intercessor who is saved, sanctified and baptized in the Holy ghost should know that they have been ordained by the Lord to break yokes, deliver the oppressed and set the captives free reason being that the spirit of the Lord is upon us and He has empowered us to break yokes, Isaiah 61:1-3, Luke 10:19.

For better understanding of this message, we shall consider the following sub-heading (i) the reasons and the charge to break yokes (ii) our expected response and the danger of neglect.

THE REASONS AND THE CHARGE TO BREAK YOKES

We must understand that the whole world lies in wickedness and full of darkness, 1John5:19 and is in serious need of light Job 30:26. Many people are suffering from different kinds of afflictions, bound with all manner of yokes such as poverty, barrenness, rising and falling, backwardness, delay in marriage and most of all sin. Because of all these sorrows our Lord Jesus Christ came to the world and He went about doing good, 1John 3:8b, John 10:10b, Acts 10:38, Matt. 4:24, Jon 5:2-9. He came as the light and He shined everywhere He went John 1:4-5 and He made us who are following Him the light of the world, John 8:12, Matt. 5:14. Before He ascended, He empowered us and gave us a command to go and do greater works than He did Luke 10:1-2, 18-19, Mark 16:15-18, John 14:12-14. So, we must henceforth begin to shine as light wherever we fin d ourselves Matt. 5:16. We should know that Christ has finished the work of freedom on the cross of Calvary John 19:30, John 8:36. So, since His spirit dwells in us, we must not be afraid but bold to confront any situation and yoke commanding them to break 1 John 5:4-5, 20, Isaiah 61:1-3.

OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE DANGER OF NEGLECT

Having seen the reason behind this massage and the charge given us to break yokes Luke 10:19, we must therefore begin to exercise the authority given to us by Lord. We must rise above every form of doubt, fear and faithlessness Romans 8:15-16, 2Timothy 1:7. We must understand that this dark world is waiting for us to manifest as the lights that we are Romans8:22, 19. The danger of neglecting this message is that we will fail to fulfill the desires of the Lord and many souls who we were supposed to deliver will perish.
