THE REASON FOR TESTIMONY

Text: Psalm 107:1-2 says, “O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for hos mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy,” Memory verse: Luke 8:39

The earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ was characterized with miracles, signs and wonders. The Bible recorded that He went about doing good; healing sicknesses and diseases for God was with Him. In other words, those miracles drew multitude of people to Jesus and authenticated His claim that He is the son of God. these was so because the people knew and accepted that only God could do the miracles Jesus did. They were sore amazed and consequently began to accept the gospel of the kingdom that Jesus preached.
And for us, testimonies are a proof that God is still alive and has not changed. Prior to the advent of the Lord’s Chosen, Many people had lost hope in their faith while many were going to church to fulfill all righteousness. Some of them even believed the Bible is just another book, just like every other book.

When incredible miracles started happening in the Lord’s Chosen, millions of people began to experience spiritual rebirth and re-awakening. They began to be conscious of heaven again and came out of their spiritual cyst. And so testimonies energize the body of Christ and keep hope alive. They reinforce believers’ faith in the Lord and His word. When testimonies are shared in the church, feeble knees and weak hands receive strength prompting God to manifest more of His power to save, heal, deliver, protect, bless, uplift, sanctify etc.

When you are visited by God, endeavor to share your testimony so as to encourage the brethren and even open more doors for blessings of God in your life.
Failure to declare the goodness of God amounts to being ungrateful and may hinder further miracles. As we testify of the Lord’s doing, He takes the glory and will be pleased to do more.
